Urban Foraging Workshop

Join the CCE of Broome County at Nathaniel Cole Park for a workshop on spring foraging. Focus will be placed on edible urban plants such as dog violets, garlic mustard, mugwort, and more! Please note that this workshop will teach participants how to identify edible (as well as non-edible) species and their preferred habitats, but no removal of edible plants, mushrooms, etc. will occur during the workshop.

Where: Sandy Beach Park, South Side Binghamton

When: Tuesday April 23rd 6:00-7:00pm

We are proud to offer this program free of charge. Any youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited (30 max. per session) so registration is required

Rain-date: If the program has to be reschedule due to poor weather registered participants will be notified no later than six hours prior to the program. If scheduling allows, the program will be rescheduled to a later date which will be communicated on an as-need basis. Once registered please keep an eye on your email inboxes for program reminders and updates such as these.

No Call/No Show policy: In order to mitigate no call/no show participants at our programs, if you do register and no call/no show on the day of the event you will not be given priority at future events. In other words, if space is limited at future events other participants will be given preference if spots are filling up. Our programs are in high demand and this is to maintain fairness for all interested community members.
